Diorissimo, the restored 1956 classic, returns as part of Dior’s Dioriginals collection under Perfume Creation Director Francis Kurkdjian. It is scheduled to launch around October 1–2, 2026, primarily as an Eau de Toilette.The original, composed by Edmond Roudnitska, is a landmark soliflore built around lily of the valley (muguet), Christian Dior’s lucky flower. Because the bloom yields no usable essential oil, Roudnitska constructed a now-famous synthetic accord that became a reference point for green-white florals. Over the decades the formula drifted through ingredient substitutions, regulatory changes, and later additions.Kurkdjian’s restoration aims to recover the scent’s original freshness and luminosity. He rebuilt the white-floral bouquet — the core lily-of-the-valley accord — and introduced a new quality of jasmine, while removing later extras such as a sweet watermelon note that had crept into the composition.
