Roudnitska’s 1972 chypre, cleaned rather than rewritten. Kurkdjian restores the sun, the fruit, and the green snap for an October return.It still starts in crushed stems and citrus — bergamot and basil, now in focus — then ripens into peach (the apricot the house is naming), honeysuckle, jasmine, and a faint violet powder. The base is chypre again: vetiver and moss, but airier than the later, dulled versions.Green, juicy, floral, a little salty. A garden after rain, not a counter scent. Same freedom. Sharper drawing.
