Evokes the hush of a walled garden: a private, sun-trapped enclosure where heat gathers and time seems to pause. Named for the Celtic warrior goddess invoked by Queen Boadicea before battle, it is an Iceni rose—sensual yet steely—built from concentrated floral glamour and a sharp horticultural edge. The composition is intense and dissonant: a rose with metallic thorns and the charged scent of an approaching storm. As with the house’s other work, the fragrance turns on cause and effect, the tension and balance among its materials.Within such walls, light travels from brick to slate to trellis, warming espaliered fruit and intensifying every impression. Flowers, vegetables, and medicinal herbs thrive in pollen-heavy air. Butterflies pass, glass-winged dragonflies hover, and still water mirrors the sky. Everything feels held, magnified, and slightly suspended.
